Peace is 15 years old, and her sister Wivine is almost 17. Their parents live in Rwanda. At the beginning of 2010, the parents sent their seven daughters to Uganda by themselves. Since then, the girls have lived together and struggled to get by. Their parents send them money, but they don't have much. The seven girls share two small rooms, and sleep on the floor on blankets. None of them are sure that they will be able to finish school.
Peace and her sisters have formed a choir together, and sing beautifully in three or four-part harmonies. On weekends they perform for people.
Peace is extremely intelligent, and very interested in doing good in the world. She thinks deeply about life, and believes in the power of love and goodness. She passionately would like to finish school, but without help, she will not be able to afford to.

ivine is a sweet and responsible girl. She loves Peace and her other sisters tremendously. She is helpful, and quick to do what is needed by anyone around her. She is serious and thoughtful, and speaks eloquently.
For $30 a month you could sponsor one of these girls to go to school. This would cover one girl's school fees, books, supplies, school clothing, lunch at school, and a few basic needs such as soap and toothpaste. If you cannot afford the full $30, any contribution would help. And of course, if you wish to give additional support for their other needs (at home, etc.), that would be most appreciated.
