Ndagire Annet is 15 years old. Her father died when she was a little girl, and her mother died when she was 12; since then she has raised her younger siblings. She washes clothes to make money for their school fees, and helps them with their homework every day. She loves her siblings dearly. When her younger brother calls out for his mother at night, she runs to him and holds him. She is extremely mature, but sometimes her load feels too heavy to bear. It is hard for her that she cannot console her younger brother (who will soon be 6) about the loss of his mother. Also, she cannot pay for their basic needs with her tiny earnings. One or more of them frequently have to leave school for a little while until she can get together enough money to pay their fees again.
Ndagire is the top of her class in science, math, and physics. She studies hard, and helps the other students as much as she can. She hopes to be a lawyer one day, but she is uncertain that she will be able to finish school. She needs help with school fees.
Ndagire can be sponsored for as little as $30 a month. This will pay for her school fees, books, supplies, school clothing, lunch at school, and a few basic needs such as soap and toothpaste. Please help if you can. If you cannot afford to contribute the entire amount, any part of it would help tremendously. And of course, if you wish to give additional support for her other needs (at home, etc), that would be most appreciated.
